He felt that he might have lost touch with its sights, sounds and the essence of the American people. I loved the rolling delicious descriptions and poetic prose of John Steinbeck ..feel like I've been on the trip with him and dear Charley dog described by a true dog friend. A wonderful book of it's time ! A history of change and humanity.
